A Living Archive of Fontainebleau

Every climber has a boulder they'll never forget.

The first one that truly challenged them.
The long-term project.
The winter send.
The climb shared with friends.
The line that made them fall in love with Fontainebleau a little more.

Fontainebleau Boulder was created to preserve these memories.

Through photography, stories and original products, the project documents the culture, history and landscapes that make Fontainebleau one of the most iconic bouldering destinations in the world.

This is not a guidebook.
This is not a climbing brand.

It is a living archive built one boulder at a time.

Photography First

Every image featured on this website is photographed in Fontainebleau.

The goal is simple: to capture not only the climbing, but also the atmosphere, the sandstone, the forest and the unique character of each place.

Many of these boulders have become landmarks for generations of climbers. Some are world famous. Others are quiet local classics.

Each one has a story worth preserving.

Buy a Souvenir. Give Back.

Fontainebleau Boulder is an independent project funded through the sale of prints, posters and apparel.

Rather than producing generic climbing merchandise, the idea is to create meaningful souvenirs connected to each boulders.

A portion of the profits (50%) is committed to supporting local initiatives that help protect, maintain or improve Fontainebleau and its climbing environment.

Because preserving the stories of Fontainebleau also means helping preserve the place itself.

Care for Bleau

Fontainebleau exists because generations of climbers, walkers, volunteers and local organisations have cared for it.

Fontainebleau Boulder was created to celebrate this place, but also to help protect it.

When you purchase a print, poster or piece of apparel, you're doing more than supporting an independent project. You're joining a community that believes Fontainebleau deserves respect, care and protection.

By supporting Fontainebleau Boulder, you become an ambassador for the forest.

We invite every member of our community to respect, protect and share the values that have made Fontainebleau special for generations.

We ask everyone who supports the project to help preserve the forest by following and sharing good practices:

• Stay on established paths
• Avoid climbing on wet sandstone
• Brush chalk responsibly
• Leave no trace
• Help educate and inspire fellow climbers

The future of Fontainebleau depends on the choices we make today.

A shared forest. A shared responsibility.
